Like a diamond reflected in a clear running stream, this shot of Saxon’s captured my eye as we were going through his photos.

What I find so beautiful about this picture, aside from the perfect shape of this wave, is the way the morning sunlight creates a perfect portrait of the power and beauty of the ocean.

The water texture in the mid-section of the lip looks like the cut of a diamond, reflecting the warm tones of the sun and the cool shades of the sea.

As the power of the wave starts to break, it splays its wild energy before the sun, a lion’s mane of water and sunshine driving toward the coast.
